Refunds

All services are non-refundable, but we will be more than happy to schedule a corrective service free of charge. Corrective services will not be allowed more than 5 days past initial grooming appointment.

Safety First

Hairy Situation reserves the right to refuse service to any dog demonstrating aggressive behavior that would be deemed unsafe to handle. We promise to offer a stress free grooming experience for your loved pup. We pay special attention to older pets and pets with health issues. Your pup's safety and comfort are our first priority. We will not perform any grooming procedure that causes pain or a level of stress that we think is excessive. This includes nail trimming in some situations. Senior pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort.

48 Hour Cancellation Policy
We understand that due to your busy schedule you may have to cancel or change an appointment.  In order to respect the time of both our guests and our Groomer, we simply ask that you notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.

Appointments that are cancelled less than 48 hours prior will result in a $25 fee.

 

No Call No Show

In order to respect the time of our Groomer, if an appointment is unattended and no notice was provided, you will be required to prepay for future grooming services at the time of scheduling. 
 

Late for Appointments
Please be courteous to your Groomer and our other clients. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment we will have to reschedule your appointment. If you are more than 30 minutes late picking up your pup, you will be charged a $25 babysitting fee.

Fleas and Matting

In order to keep our salon clean and our other clients safe, if you dog has fleas you will be charged a $50 salon cleaning fee and your pet required to get a flea bath. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If your pet cannot be humanly de-matted, we will ask permission to clip the hair short (shave). Please keep in mind that a matted coat can cause numerous health concerns including itching, irritation and skin infections. Removing a heavily matted coat includes the risks of nicks, cuts and abrasions due to warts, moles, and skin folds trapped and hidden in the mats. Hairy Situation will no be financially responsible for these types of injuries. Shaving a pet often exposes pre-existing skin conditions. If an animal is badly matted, you may find sores, tender skin and parasites under those mats. There is no no way to avoid these risks. No matter how slow or careful we are, we are clipping live animals that move.
